Computex is just getting started in Taipei and ARM is kicking off the morning (in Taiwan) with their press conference. In addition to showcasing the products packing their processors, such as the Nokia n900, Dell Streak, Mobinova Beam smartbook, Archos 5 and 7 tablets, and the delayed Lenovo U1 Hybrid, ARM’s road map included a processor named “Eagle.” Listed on the road map above the Cortex-A9 processor, ARM later confirmed that “Eagle” is the next generation processor in the Cortex-A family and is meant for high-end platforms. The processor is set to be officially announced at a later date.

ARM’s processors are also cozying up to everyone’s favorite dessert of the moment, Froyo, aka Android version 2.2, with enhancements specifically for this OS including Flash 10.1 support and V8 Javascript acceleration.
