Appscars: Which is the Best Social Networking App? Voting Ends 2/25 at 9 a.m.

The votes are in, and ShopSavvy was your choice for best shopping app. Up next are social networking apps. The contenders are Facebook, HootSuite, Seesmic, Tweetdeck, and Twitter. Which one helps you keep your online life in order?

Facebook: The go-to site for staying connected to friends and family, Facebook features a news feed with your contacts’ latest updates. The app integrates the full functionality of the desktop site, from messages and chat to Facebook Places (a Foursquare-like check-in app) and one-touch photo uploads.

HootSuite: Known for its browser-based approached to managing Twitter accounts, HootSuite lets you view the latest updates on Facebook and Twitter and even lets you check in via Foursquare. You can also schedule tweets and track Twitter statistics. The app is available on Android, BlackBerry, and iOS devices.

Seesmic: This app lets you manage and update your accounts on various social networks from one place. With support for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and more, Seesmic simplifies the process of checking up on your profiles and accounts. The app is available for Android, BlackBerry, iOS, and Windows Phone 7, and features vary from platform to platform.

TweetDeck: Another app for managing multiple social networks, TweetDeck lets you view the latest updates on multiple accounts. The Android version of the app offers integration with Foursquare and Google Buzz, while the iOS version is limited to just Facebook and Twitter.

Twitter: While there are  plenty of third-party apps that offer access to your Twitter account, Twitter also has an app of its own. The free app lets you search tweets and trending topics in addition to sending direct messages and adding new tweets. Available for free, the app is compatible with Android, iOS, and Windows Phone 7 devices.

The poll is open now until Friday, February 25th, at 9 a.m. Did we leave out your favorite social networking app? Add a write-in in the comments below. Don’t forget to check back Friday for the Best Game category.
