Apple Updates White MacBook, Offers Students Free 8GB iPod touch
May 27th, 2009 by Jeffrey L. Wilson
Without much fanfare, Apple quietly bumped up the specs of its low-end MacBook so that it now includes a 2.13-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 160GB of storage, and 2GB of faster DDR2-6400 RAM. It’s not a tremendous change by any means, but if you’re looking to purchase a “budget” Mac, the enhancements are a a welcome addition.
Students purchasing a Mac, however, reap the benefit of receiving a free 8GB iPod touch – -after you purchase it with a Mac, submit an online rebate claim by October 8th, and receive a $229 discount, that is. Kinda makes you miss the days of parties, all-night cram sessions, and lots and lots of ramen, doesn’t it?
