Apple iPhone 5 Rumors of the Day: Larger Screen, Metal Back, NFC-enabled
Contrary to a report earlier this week, but agreeing with a report from January, a Forbes story today claims that the iPhone 5 will, indeed, have an NFC chip, enabling contactless payments using the device. This is the same technology that’s in the Samsung Nexus S, and will allow users to pay for items by simply swiping the phone across a pad.
The other Apple rumor o’ the day comes from 9to5mac, who received a tip from a Foxconn employee that the iPhone 5 will have a larger screen (as has been rumored before), but will have a flat metal back, as opposed to the glass back currently used.
The photo to the right is also an possible image of the iPhone 5.
Once again, all of this is unconfirmed. We’ll report it, you decide if it’s true.
