Apple iPhone 3.0 Software and New SDK on the Way
Apple is on a roll this month. We saw improvements in its notebook line (with the Macbook Pro 17-inch), iPod line (new Shuffle) and now its time to toy with its wonder phone.
Arriving in our Inbox just moments ago was a media invitation to get a “sneak peek” at the iPhone OS 3.0 software.
The event, which will be held on March 17 in Cupertino, will provide a look at the new OS and details about the SDK. Other than that we don’t have any more details.
But that doesn’t mean our mind isn’t wandering. Will the new OS have tethering capablity? Support multitasking? Copy and paste? You tell us, what are you hoping to see in 3.0.

I’m looking forward to the improvements. I’m hoping they allow for landscape-aspect typing in emails, which would make the keyboard much bigger and therefore improve typing. It’s possible in every other application; we can’t you turn the phone 90º and type in email?
