The Samsung Galaxy S II is coming soon to a carrier near you, so we wanted to test the unlocked version. It sports a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen (800 x 400) and a big virtual keyboard to match. We just wish there were more spacing between the keys; we often made mistakes such as hitting “B” instead of the space bar. As a result, the S II turned in the second lowest accuracy rating (95.3 percent). On the plus side, long-pressing letters in the top row allows for quick number entry, and predictive text suggestions are displayed in a large area that’s easy to select. The S II placed third in max and average speeds, putting this phone in the middle of the pack.
