Android Browser Battle Royale
September 15th, 2010 by K. T. Bradford
Around 40 to 60 percent of Internet users are using the default browser that came with their computer, probably because it’s familiar and it’s there. The same might be true for you Android users out there. If so, you’re missing out. Sure the default Android browser has multitouch now and it supports the Flash 10.1 plug-in (if you’re lucky enough to have Froyo), but it certainly doesn’t have much else going for it. Does it support add-ons? Will it load full web pages in under 13 seconds? How about saving web pages for reading offline? The answer to all three is: no. Ditch that default and download one of these browser apps. Whether you crave a more desktop-like browsing experience, lightning-fast page renders, or the ability to watch Flash videos without Flash, one of these free browsers is perfect for you.
