Aircell Cleared for Takeoff by FAA

n American Airlines and Virgin America, just received two critical approvals from the FAA, bringing it one step closer to rolling out its Gogo service. The announcement comes a week after the company’s first coast-to-coast flight with Internet connectivity. With the FAA’s blessing, Aircell now has permission to manufacture equipment and install it on Boeing 767-200 planes. As planned, expect full service sometime in the first half of this year.
