During Mobile World Congress today, Adobe announced that Palm was joining the Open Screen Project, Adobe’s initiative to deliver full desktop-level Flash content to multimedia devices. Full Flash support would allow smart phone owners to surf the Web as they would on a desktop computer, taking full advantage of all multimedia content, including videos found on sites like Hulu.com. Imagine being able to stream thousands of movies and TV shows from anywhere. While Adobe claims that the Flash player will be available for high-end smart phones like the Palm Pre by the end of 2009, we’re told that Flash 10 is up and running on a few devices here at the show. Stand by while we seek them out for a real hands-on.
