Add Live NCAA Video to Your Blog

mmod.jpgIf you’re looking for a way to add live March Madness games to your personal basketball fan-site blog (like my buddies over at the Seton Hall fan-site), then look no further. According to Paid Content, CBSSports.com and the NCAA are launching an initiative that will allow anyone to embed prewritten JavaScript code into their Web site. When clicked, a pop-up video of the game will display for any user. Five options are available for webmasters looking to add some college ball: You can link to either the March Madness on Demand (MMOD) homepage, a video waiting room and CBSSports.com scoreboard, a waiting room and a destination of your choice (such as a different page on your blog), a specific NCAA championship game, the CBSSports.com scoreboard only, or a specific NCAA championship game and a Web site of your choice. The championship game options aren’t available until March 17th, and the JavaScript cannot be copied yet. However, the other two options are available on the NCAASports.com developer Web site. Just make sure you add a few of their logos and follow the rules to avoid any content-distribution lawsuits.
