Acer to Preview The Aspire One 532g, The First Ion 2 Netbook
February 15th, 2010 by Dana Wollman Add this to the long list of things I hope to see at Mobile World Congress: Acer announced today that it will be previewing the Acer Aspire One 532g, the first netbook running on the next generation of Nvidia’s Ion platform. This netbook-caliber discrete graphics chip, coupled with an Intel Pinetrail CPU, promises graphics punchy enough to watch HD YouTube videos and play online games smoothly.
Despite its graphics muscle, the 10-inch netbook still promises 10 hours of battery life. It will have Wi-Fi, of course, as well as optional 3G. Stay tuned for a full announcement in early March, availability later in the first quarter of this year, and hopefully a more detailed sneak peek even sooner.
