Acer Aspire One Gains An Inch
November 25th, 2008 by K. T. Bradford
Looks like everyone who follows netbook news is talking about the news that Acer is bringing out a 10-inch version of the Aspire One. DigiTimes is saying that we could see one by February or March. Why is the news so exciting? The market isn’t hurting for good 10-inch netbooks. But the Acer Aspire One is one of the better 8.9-inch models out there. Its keyboard impressed us even though it’s a hair smaller than the MSI Wind and it’s solid on performance, design, and price. Here’s hoping that the 10-inch version keeps these good qualities while improving on the areas it fell behind a little, like battery life. Acer has a lot of competition, but they’ll hopefully use it to their advantage, mining other great 10-inchers for ideas.

I am looking for a small simple laptop with a large drive. I travel a lot and take a lot of pictures. I want to edit out the bad pictures, transfer the pictures from the camera, and tend to my emails on the road. In fact Linux is good enough. 360 Gigs of disk is a great idea.
