5 Ways to Make the HTC One a Hit and Smack Samsung
5. Get Verizon on Board, Pronto
Although HTC deserves credit for launching the HTC One on three out of the four major U.S. carriers, Verizon Wireless is conspicuously absent. Sure, the HTC DNA is still relatively new and sports a 5-inch 1080p screen, but HTC still needs Big Red. Part of the reason Samsung has grown so quickly is that the last few iterations of the Galaxy line has launched on all major providers. You simply can't expect to take on Sammy with one arm tied behind your back, especially when Verizon has the biggest 4G LTE network by far. I hope HTC is working feverishly behind the scenes to get a deal done with VZW—even if it needs to cave on the name. HTC Droid One works for me.

Not so; the Nokia N900 had an infrared port.

I totally agree on every point, very good prospective. In my honest opinion they should pay you and usr this buisness model.. LOL..matter of fact I’m about to write HTC about it now! I love HTC. I’ve been along side then since the touchpro..had the tp2, hero, EVO 4g, EVO 3d, EVO 4g LTE…n soon to be the ONE. It kills me to see there failure and the success of no where near as quality products because of stupid marketing to people who are brainwashed into believing a certain brand is best because of huge marketing of gimmicky features.. cough cough Samsung/Apple….

And 1st commenter Joseph…His phrase is totally correct. The Nokia n900 may have had an infrared port, but it wasn’t able to double as a tv remote out of the box or without the help of a third party app…I believe the one used on n900 was irreco and pierogi.
