5 Ways to Make the HTC One a Hit and Smack Samsung
2. Play Up the Killer Clicker Angle with Best Buy
The HTC One is the first smartphone ever that can double as a TV remote out of the box without a third-party accessory. By integrating both an IR blaster into the design and software from Peel, you can see what's on TV and change the channel by tapping the screen. To me that's a killer feature. And since Best Buy is a key launch partner, offering all three versions for AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint, I would set up a living room environment in retail locations that show couch potatoes how easy it is to set up Sense TV. And make sure sales reps attach an HTC Media Link accessory to the big screen so shoppers can see that they can stream from online services too, like Hulu and HTC Watch.

Not so; the Nokia N900 had an infrared port.

I totally agree on every point, very good prospective. In my honest opinion they should pay you and usr this buisness model.. LOL..matter of fact I’m about to write HTC about it now! I love HTC. I’ve been along side then since the touchpro..had the tp2, hero, EVO 4g, EVO 3d, EVO 4g LTE…n soon to be the ONE. It kills me to see there failure and the success of no where near as quality products because of stupid marketing to people who are brainwashed into believing a certain brand is best because of huge marketing of gimmicky features.. cough cough Samsung/Apple….

And 1st commenter Joseph…His phrase is totally correct. The Nokia n900 may have had an infrared port, but it wasn’t able to double as a tv remote out of the box or without the help of a third party app…I believe the one used on n900 was irreco and pierogi.
