This list seems to be compiled from a random collection of gadgets. How can you fault the Galaxy Tab 2 for using the number “2″ and then also fault Apple for *not* using a number for the 3rd gen iPad? Likewise, your rationale that people would have confused HP’s TouchPad with a PC peripheral is laughable. The flat, touch-sensitive surface on your laptop is generically referred to as a “trackpad” not a “touchpad” so I doubt anyone would have been put off.

Forgot one ….Surface by Microsoft. When I
First saw that name I had to triple check that
I was reading it correctly , because it was ” that dumb”

Nokia Lumia is probably the dumbest of them all !!

Surprised y’all didn’t catch the Samsung Smiley (literally branded as the ‘Samsung :) ’ in some ads).

  5. Stephen Says:

Simon, in my experience people where I’m from often refer to the touch-sensitive surface on a laptop as touchpads.

    How about the HTC ChaCha?
