One of my new favorites is the RealPlayer cloud app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.real.RealPlayerCloud&hl=en You’re able to add videos of any format to your collection in the cloud and it is automatically adjusted for your device screen-size, bandwidth and device type prior to playback. Makes sharing so much easier and obviously faster. Definitely recommend.

Congratulations, you’ve written an article about android apps using a paginated webpage. Why? So it’s really difficult for people using android device to navigate your article. I’ve stopped reading your article at page 2

  8. StayingAlert Says:

I’m sure that Ms. Low has provided useful information, but the “slideshow” or “paginated” format (repeatedly clicking to load a new page with a new tidbit of information) has become tiresome. And unacceptable.

Apparently the purpose of the slideshow format is to force-load new pages with ads. I get it – ads are necessary. Unfortunately, this format has gone too far, and gets in the way of the message. It has become so bad that I no longer click on “articles” with titles like “10 Best Apps …” or “12 New Features …”.

In addition to being annoying, this format wastes bandwidth. I would never click on these “articles” when using a cellular data plan.

This is the internet equivalent of distracting late-night TV lawyer commercials or infomercials. It’s a real shame, because I’m sure that Ms. Low worked hard to present some good information.

  9. Matthew Says:

great article. I actually ended up downloading several of the apps you mentioned.
