If you've used the Android calendar in the past, you're well aware of its shortcomings. To remedy that, Google has updated the app to allow integration with other apps. For instance, if you use Facebook, you can give the app permission to integrate with your calendar, so any Facebook events you have saved will be automatically uploaded to your calendar. The same goes for any other app you give permission to integrate with the calendar.
Better still, the calendar lets you use the OS's pinch-to-zoom feature to give you an expanded view of your events. No more staring at one or two lines trying to figure out what you have planned for the day. Just zoom in, and you'll get a full view of your events. Pinch the screen to return it to normal.
