Microsoft shot off the starting blocks with a blast here at E3, announcing a host of games that will be available to gamers at the launch of the company’s Xbox One console. From “Titanfall” and “Battlefield 4″ to “Sunset Overdrive” and “Halo,” it looks like the Xbox One will not only pack exciting multimedia features like instant TV switching, but some impressive game titles, as well. And with Sony’s announcement that it’s PlayStation 4 will cost $100 less than the Xbox One’s $499 starting price, it will take every ounce of the One’s power if it hopes to stand a chance against Sony’s next-generation beast. Luckily for Microsoft, each of the games it showed off during its Xbox One press event were either the latest additions to long established and beloved franchises or new exciting IPs. And while Microsoft announced roughly 15 games during its event, these are the 10 that were most interesting.
The latest game from developer Crytek, "Ryse: Son of Rome" puts gamers in the role of Roman solider Marius Titus as he fights to avenge the death of his family and seeks to save Rome while leading an army of his fellow warriors. The stage demo for the game offered gorgeous in-game graphics with beautiful lighting effects. Game play was brutal, showing the horrors of close-quarters Roman warfare.
