Alcatel One Touch Tab 8
Alcatel isn't the biggest name in tablets, but its $179 One Touch Tab 8 was certainly compelling enough to catch our eye at CES. The Android Jelly Bean-powered tablet features an 8-inch 1024 x 768 IPS display and sports a 1.6-GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor and 1GB of RAM. Onboard storage is limited to 8GB, but there's also a microSD card slot.
If you're looking for a tablet that will shoot sharp images, the Tab 8's 2-megapixel rear-facing and VGA front-facing cameras will leave you wanting. But if you're in the market for a relatively inexpensive Android device with a decent amount of processing power, the Tab 8 should be worth a look.

The Novo Hero II has also just launched – a full size, 10 inch Android tablet that packs in most of the same features, including a quad core processor and 1280×800 IPS screen, and innovative features, including 4K HDMI Digital Output – Plus 32GB memory and a strong 8,000 mAh battery — all for less than $250 at TabletSprint.
Offering some of the most impressive features is the newly released Novo 9 Spark – which features a Quad Core processor along with a brilliant 9.7 inch 2048×1536 (Retina) screen – with a powerful 10,000 mAh battery, 4K Digital HDMI, and a 5 Megapixel Rear Camera with AF and Flash for about $269 USD and also available through TabletSprint.
It should be interesting to see how the new Novo Quad Core Series fares in 2013 as this company gains more presence in the tablet market.
