ASUS VivoTab Smart Tablet
The ASUS VivoTab Smart Tablet hopes to give the Surface a run for its money with the ability to run desktop apps for less than $500 and an optional Bluetooth keyboard. The 1.27-pound Windows 8 slate packs Intel's Atom Z2760 mobile processor and includes a 1366 x 768 IPS panel that's fairly bright with wide viewing angles. The expected 9.5 hours of battery life and flexible Transleeve cover make the VivoTab a slate to watch..

Offering some of the most impressive features is the newly released Novo 9 Spark – which features a Quad Core processor along with a brilliant 9.7 inch 2048×1536 (Retina) screen – with a powerful 10,000 mAh battery, 4K Digital HDMI, and a 5 Megapixel Rear Camera with AF and Flash for about $269 USD and also available through TabletSprint.
It should be interesting to see how the new Novo Quad Core Series fares in 2013 as this company gains more presence in the tablet market.
