10 Best Apps for Your New Tablet

Spotify (Android, iPad)

If you haven't listened to Spotify yet, then it's time you tuned in. Like Pandora, this music service for iPad and Android streams millions of songs and learns your preferences based on the tracks you give thumbs up or thumbs down to. What makes Spotify more compelling is that you can listen to your favorite ditties on demand for $9.99 per month. Just search for it. Plus, you can listen to the playlists you create in offline mode, which is great when you're on a plane, subway or anywhere else with no or spotty connectivity. Facebook integration makes it easy to share what you're listening to with friends and family.

Thank you for the great ideas, Mark. I got a new Nexus 7 at a Christmas party we had in my office at DISH last week. Now I am looking for a few good apps. I think that OfficePro HD will come in handy at work and Evernote looks like a useful app too. I would like to recommend #11 for your list. It’s called the DISH Remote Access app, and it streams live TV channels or recordings from my Hopper DVR to my tablet. It works anywhere I can get a good internet connection. I have secretly been using it to pass the time when things get a little slow around the office!

I prefer the Kindle Fire HD. The interface is amazing and it’s very easy to use. It’s a great combination of functional and simple. Check out its Amazon page(http://bit.ly/S1CzWe) if you want to compare what they bring to the table.
